Rafael Pinilla Sánchez
Pinilla Sánchez holds a degree in Art History, a Masters of Advanced Studies in History of Art, and an Advanced Studies Degree (DEA) from the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on the analysis of contemporary art and its relation to the productive sphere and work transformations. He is an associate researcher at the Research Group Art Globalization and Interculturality (AGI) of the University of Barcelona, is member of the Art Research Network (RIA) of the Autonomous University of Querétaro and technical and planning secretary of the Journal Of Global Studies & Contemporary Art (REGAC).
Pinilla Sánchez won the Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’ Amics del Pais (SEBAP) Prize, he has published articles in catalogues (La Memoria del Otro), on-line magazines (Interartive, Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México), has spoken at conferences, seminars, and symposiums (Arts Santa Mònica, MNCARS, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México), and has collaborated with diverse exhibition projects (Museo de Arte de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá; Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago de Chile). He has also organized courses and workshops for various institutions dealing with the relationship between contemporary art and work reorganization.
